The Pipe Classic was the first of its kind dreamt up by Tito and Mikeala from The Bern Gallery in Burlington VT.  It was made into a reality in 2006 when 12 glass artist's from across the north east came to compete in a one of a kind pipe making challenge! The challenge; Make as nasty of a pipe as you can in 12 hours, 6 hours the first day and six hours on a second day.. when the 12 hours were up you HAD to be finished!  Jason Gordon was The head glass artist at The Bern Gallery at that time and was lucky enough to be asked to compete.. The competiton was to be judged by glass conniseurs from all over the country. The judges were simply put the fans of glass! almost 100 judges passes were sold  to glass blowers to glass store owners all the way  to glass customers..  When all was said and done Jason had gotten the most votes and went on in to the history books of  pipe making as the First winner of The Pipe Classic!
